I was intrinsically drawn to relocate to Belize 15 years ago. After graduating from the University of Western Ontario in Canada, I was ready to leave the cold Canadian climate for the warmth and sun.
I first came to this charming little island while on a sojourn from leading adventure trips out to the spectacular Belizean Atolls. The famous Blue Hole landmark, located on Lighthouse Atoll is one of them but there are two others. All three are equally amazing in the quality of marine life and the diversity of species. Definitely places you need to visit.
For more than a dreamy decade, I led multisport adventure trips from Alaska to Antarctica. But every year I returned to my favorite enclave here. Belize's spectacular location and proximity to the reef was and is the ideal playground for my interests. Most importantly, it provided a nice sense of community for my family.
Like so many, I have always dreamed of living near the Sea, while also having the modern-day amenities of our world. I was drawn to the ease of access this small hub has and the stability of the country. This made Ambergris Caye an ideal destination for our home.
