That time of year has come again for LOBSTER FEST in CAYE CAULKER! This is the perfect opportunity to come and check out San Pedros “sister caye” and get your fill on some of the most delicious lobster dishes in Belize!
Caye Caulkers official moto is “go slow” but this weekend is a definite exception with beach parties, live music, friendly competition and family fun.
Belize Lobster Fest is a long standing tradition that originated in Caye Caulker in 1994 by the Islanders Veterans Football Club. The 3 day long festival was formed so that the local community could celebrate the fisherman of Caye Caulker, AND it coincides with the opening of Lobster Season which runs June 15-Feb 15. Lobster Fest is also celebrated in Placencia, Belize City and of course San Pedro BUT who can do it better than the Caye that started it all?!
This years festivities begin Friday June 29th 7pm with the Miss Lobster Fest Pageant for teens. This showcase enables the intelligent and beautiful young ladies of Caye Caulker to showcase their talent and thoughts.
Saturday June 30th kicks off at 10am with an all day beach party full of live music, live performances,delicious bites and of course some friendly competition. Who’s the best bartender in Caye Caulker? You can find out at the 3pm bartending competition!
The three day event is capped off with another all day beach party, Sunday July 1st with the same great entertainment and a focus on family friendly competitions beginning at noon.
