I’ve been living on Caye Caulker, Belize, for over five years and am an Agent at RE/MAX Island Real Estate.
After you’ve lived here for as long as I have, you are known as a Local Tourist. Not quite a Local, but no longer a Tourist.
I am truly blessed to be Living My Dream!
I couldn’t ask for more. Living in a Caribbean Paradise where I get to meet diverse and interesting people every day!
When I talk to clients about buying property here on the Caye, I try to convey the rich island experience in an hour, which is nearly impossible to do.
The Locals call Belize a Jewel, and indeed it is. A beautiful, diverse country; rich in culture and natural resources!
Here on the Caye, we have the magnificent Belize Barrier Reef at our fingertips and the influence of the meso-american culture.
The people living here are multi faceted and steeped in cultural richness. It’s expressed in many ways, and shared through their food, music, written word, dance, language, and arts and crafts.
This is the first in a series of blogs from Caye Caulker, and I’ll do my best to share all of these riches with you.
I’ll dig below the surface, exposing Caye Caulker’s own Jewels! Some sparkling brightly, and others, diamonds in the rough!
My first in depth article is going to be to showcase An Art Exhibition and Local Book Fair that was held last Sunday, March 13, 2016.
Those featuring their works were: Judy Lumb, Clyde Kirkpatrick, Dorothy Beveridge, Luciana Essenziale, Allie Johnstone, Brian Babineau, Daniela Sartirana & Nelson Young.
Stay Tuned!
